Sundered will return with new episodes starting May 22

People! I hate — hate hate hate — not putting new content here. Hate it, I mean hate it like I hate stuffing my hand into molten lava to pull out the Glaive only to realize that I ain’t no powerful chosen Prince.

But you’ve gotta give me a little time to pull myself together and brew up content. When I started this podcast early last year, I thought I could shred out short stories in the Preludes series and podcast as I went along. But my life decided then was a good time to get a hell of a lot more complicated, and I learned that I had thought wrong. Stumbling along with a month or two in between episodes, apologizing every couple of weeks, doesn’t really cut it.

So I’m taking a hiatus to reinvigorate the Sundered Preludes, which will return in force starting May 22. I need the interim space to pound manuscripts into shape, and get my life back in shape so that I can put this podcast back into overdrive. I’m dying to bring these stories to light, and if you’ve liked what you’ve gotten so far, I think you’re really going to dig what’s to come, because the scope only widens, the mysteries deepen, and the huge events to come in the novel series begin to coalesce.

You’re going to finally see Stronghold. You’re going to learn about The Burning. You’re going to meet The Stranger and you’re going to meet Niff, and you’re going to meet a woman so beautiful it hurts, real bad. Something is going to fall from the sky and it will completely change the future for the pathetic remnants of humanity. And you’re going to get a hint about how people with Talents are going to make and break this world.

May 22nd is when it all begins. Please, please, please stick around for that — and drop in occasionally to this site in the meantime. You never know what morsels and tidbits I’ll be dropping before then. And for those of you who’ve been around so far and have been so supportive: you people are amazing. “Awesome” is no longer sufficient — I need a new term for how mega-awesome you are.

And did I forget to mention the contest? Ah, yes, the contest. All will be revealed May 22nd….

I’m grateful for your comments, you two. I just feel bad that I’ve already made you wait more than long enough for new content.

I aim to make it up to you in late May, however. And, do keep an eye on the feed/site before then. I have plans.

Time-lines are always good. I always find that I accomplish much more when there is a good plan with set dates in place. So, good luck with making your goals on Sundered. I know I’m looking forward to the next story arc.

Oh my god, that few a number of days?! I’d better start writing something!

    Just kidding.

Thanks for the good wishes, Brian. May 22 will mark an important evolutionary step in Sundered, where the lines between short story and novel begin to blur. Something pretty momentous is brewing out in the wastes, and the pieces begin falling into place on the 22nd!

Guys, I now hold in my hands the manuscript for the first two episodes of the new season. I’m going to hazard the guess that you’ll enjoy it; I certainly had a hell of a lot of fun writing it, maybe the most fun so far.

I’ve also got a big multi-part epic which will follow this story, and you’re going to learn a bunch about these crazy Talents who are running around.

    Not long now!
