a good one right in the back of the head
I thought after I posted the massive finale of “Steel Drum” in early January that I would be finally able to get this podcast on track.
Well, life thought otherwise, and it gave me a good whack in the back of the head to prove it. I got sick. I had a massive series of very stressful and demanding work projects. And, unfortunately, to top it all off, my uncle suddenly became critically ill and passed away. Sort of all at the same time.
Needless to say, the podcast has suffered tremendously for it. I’ve been pushing myself back into preparing the material for the next episode this last week, and I’ve actually made a lot of progress. Work commences apace.
I don’t want to lower the tone of the podcast by complaining — I wouldn’t have said anything at all except that I thought all of you deserved an explanation as to why things have fallen apart. Again.
Superstition has me by the throat, so I won’t dare to claim a date, but please know that I’m trying to pull things together to have the next episode ready very soon. And I hope that the start of the next adventure in the wastes will satisfy you enough to forgive me — just a little — for another horrible delay.
Thanks for hanging in there, people.

Raphael:
I’m really sorry to hear about your uncle.

Thanks, Brian. You know, I hated to bring it up, because I don’t want to disrupt the cheerful tone of the site (if post-apocalypse wastelands can be considered cheerful, come to think of it). But I also felt I owed you guys an explanation for yet another absence.
I can’t wait for all of you to get a peek into the city of Stronghold. It’s a wild place.

Positive thinking: all the rough patches are out of the road, and things will go smoothly from here on out.
